Students experiment with plastic cameras and professional medium format Hasselblads, pinhole cameras and 8x10 view cameras. Students create negatives for alternative processes and though it all gain historical photographic knowledge and technique.
Working in the studio using various backdrops, props & surfaces, learn to style and photograph food, flowers and found objects & create captivating still lifes. Design concepts, natural light, color & texture, equipment, camera techniques and post-production.
Toy with different ways to express your creativity while still staying true to your photographic background. You will learn how to expand into other mediums, this may include digital manipulation, collaging on top of images or painting directly on printed photographs.
Mixed media bridges the gap between photography and drawing and painting. While artists have been using mixed media for decades, many young photographers are excited to use mixed media photography in a way that sets them apart from the rest.LEVEL
